Colton High School’s (CHS) class of 1963 will commemorate its 50-year reunion Oct. 19 when fellow Yellowjackets reunite from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Riverside Marriott Hotel & Resort, located at 3400 Market St. in Riverside. Additionally, a no-host reception will take place on Oct. 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Heroes Bar and Grill, 3397 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside. This year’s Colton High alumni committee put in extra time and volunteer effort to make the 50-year reunion extra special. On Friday, Oct. 18 at 12:30 p.m. there will be a tour of the Colton High campus by Victor Schiro, assistant principal, followed immediately with a no-host lunch at the Colton El Burrito. Other activities include tours of the famous Mission Inn on Saturday, and a Sunday Brunch at the Mission Inn (reservations and payment are required in advance for the tour and brunch). The 50-year reunion is a milestone that deserves to be celebrated and shared among all of the 1963 alumni. To do this, the reunion committee is asking for all classmates to help spread the word to old friends. Admission tickets for the sensational dinner/dance at the Riverside Marriott are $75 by the Sept. 30 deadline. Payment should be submitted to Lorraine (Lopez) Casey, CUHS 50th Reunion, PO Box 63, Colton, CA 92324. Graduates needing a new registration package or who have not yet been contacted should email bcolton.high.class.of.1963@gmail.com and state his or her name (married and maiden), mailing address, email address and phone number; the package will be sent immediately. CUHS also has the phone numbers for two class members who will see that the package is sent. Rooms are available at the Marriott Hotel by calling 951-784-8000 and referring to the code “chschsa.”
