No injuries were reported, but three dogs were rescued when Redlands Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Pacific Street Friday morning, July 31. Firefighters responded to the blaze in the single-story, single-family home at about 11:15 a.m. Friday, July 31, and found the home well involved in flame. Unsure whether anyone was home at the time, firefighters made entry and rescued three dogs. None of the residents were home. It took firefighters approximately 10 minutes to knock down the blaze, but crews remained on scene for several hours performing heavy overhaul on the structure. The home suffered significant smoke damage throughout and fire damage to more than half the building. In addition to the Redlands Fire Department, Redlands Police and an American Medical Response ambulance also responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
