Mayor's Message: State of the City Address Success

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

Last week, the City Council and I celebrated Moreno Valley’s outstanding achievements during our annual State of the City Address.

This year’s theme was “Innovation, Elevation, Transformation,” three words that have defined Moreno Valley’s progress.

Throughout the program, we touched upon our incredible strides throughout the year in economic development, infrastructure, public safety, finance, and the City’s unbeatable quality of life.

We have rebuilt hundreds of miles of roads as part of the ongoing Pavement Rehabilitation Program. We’re upgrading our parks as part of the $6 million Parks Rehabilitation & Refurbishment Program. We are adding more police and firefighters to keep our communities safe, and we remain one of the most fiscally strong cities in the nation.

It goes without saying—the state of our City continues to be strong!

During the event, we recognized local leaders who have made a positive impact in Moreno Valley in the past year:

  • Community Non-Profit Partner of the Year – Rising Stars Business Academy
  • Community Contributor of the Year – Rancho Belago Developers
  • Healthcare Hero Award – Riverside University Health System
  • Excellence in Education Award – Riverside County Office of Education
  • Community Business Member of the Year (Large) – Kaiser Permanente
  • Community Business Member of the Year – Taqueria Dos Potrillos

I am incredibly proud of everything we have built together in Moreno Valley. We’ve done so much, yet our story continues to be written. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

You can watch the entire State of the City Address on the City of Moreno Valley’s YouTube Channel and MV3.
