MORENO VALLEY >> The City of Moreno Valley celebrates the decision by Hyundai of Moreno Valley to open a new, state-of-the-art dealership in Moreno Valley. The first new dealership to be constructed in Moreno Valley in nearly twelve years, it will be located at 27500 Eucalyptus Avenue, near the Stoneridge Towne Center. "I am thrilled to welcome Hyundai of Moreno Valley to our city," said Moreno Valley Mayor Dr. Yxstian A. Gutierrez. "In addition to offering quality vehicles and generating tax revenues, the Hyundai dealer has committed to participate in the Hire MoVal program and will fill at least 30% of the newly created dealership jobs with Moreno Valley residents." To incentivize the automobile dealership in Moreno Valley, and to secure the employment of Moreno Valley residents, the City Council unanimously approved an operating covenant with Hyundai of Moreno Valley. "As a business owner for over 22 years and a native southern Californian, I am very optimistic about our future here in Moreno Valley and Riverside County. The cooperation and the business friendly environment from the city and its staff have made the difference in my site selection. It is our intention to be an active participant in the ongoing development of Moreno Valley and look forward to a bright and fruitful relationship," said Mike Brown, owner of Hyundai of Moreno Valley. The city estimates that Hyundai of Moreno Valley will generate approximately $400,000 in new sales tax revenue to the city per year - more than $1,600,000 over the four year term of the agreement.
