In a significant show of support for local organizations, the Grand Terrace City Council awarded Community Benefit Fund Grants during their meeting on August 13, 2024. The recipients of these grants include the Grand Terrace Tribe Baseball Club, the Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce, and the Grand Terrace High School Titan Wrestling Booster Club. Each organization received funds to help kickstart new seasons, initiatives, and community projects.

Grand Terrace Tribe Baseball Club was one of the proud recipients, receiving funds to support the club’s upcoming season. The grant will be used to purchase new gear and equipment, ensuring that the young athletes have the resources they need to compete at their best. The club has been a staple in the community, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among its members, and the city’s support will help them continue this mission.

The Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce also received a grant, which will be used to bolster their efforts in promoting local businesses and hosting community events. The Chamber plays a critical role in driving economic development and fostering a strong sense of community in Grand Terrace. With the additional funding, the Chamber is expected to enhance its programs and initiatives, benefiting businesses and residents alike.

Another key recipient was the Grand Terrace High School Titan Wrestling Booster Club, which was awarded $2,000. These funds will be instrumental in supporting the club’s activities for the new season, including the purchase of new gear and the organization of community events. The Titan Wrestling program has a strong tradition of excellence, and this grant will help them maintain their high standards while engaging the local community.

As Grand Terrace continues to grow and evolve, the City Council’s commitment to supporting local organizations remains unwavering. The Community Benefit Fund Grants are a testament to the city’s dedication to fostering a thriving, connected community.
