Victoria Jimenez is this week’s Grand Terrace High School Athlete of the Week! Her commitment to both academics and athletics is truly commendable. Maintaining a 3.8 GPA while actively participating in sports showcases her dedication and time management skills.

It’s inspiring to see how Victoria explored different sports, discovering her passion for Cross-Country and Track & Field. Her ability to find calmness in running and the sense of leadership and friendships gained from being part of the Cross-Country team are valuable experiences that will undoubtedly contribute to her personal growth.

Victoria’s achievements in athletics, such as being in the top five Cross-Country league and ranking 2nd on the league for the 1600 and 3200, demonstrate her hard work and skills on the track. Her first-place finish at the Inland Empire Challenge and holding GTHS record for the second-fastest three-mile further highlight her exceptional talent.

Beyond sports, Victoria’s diverse hobbies, including sewing, photography, baking, shopping, reading, and organizing, showcase her well-rounded personality and interests. Her consistent presence on the Principal’s Honor Roll for three years reflects her academic excellence.

It’s heartwarming to hear about Victoria’s motivation to make her parents proud, and the support they provide at the meets and games. Their messages of inspiration and motivation, even when unable to attend, speak to the strong family bonds that contribute to Victoria’s success.

Looking ahead, Victoria’s aspirations to attend a community college and then transfer to a university for a major in Psychology demonstrate her ambitious plans for the future. Wanting to become a Psychiatrist reflects her desire to make a positive impact through her education and career.

A quote that Victoria would like to share is, " I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." - Marilyn Monroe

This quote is a poignant reminder of the wisdom gained through life experiences. Victoria’s journey, filled with achievements, challenges, and growth, is a testament to her resilience and positive outlook.

To acknowledge her remarkable achievements, hard work, and dedication, Victoria will receive a certificate and a gift card from TME Photography.

Wishing Victoria all the best in her future endeavors. The best is yet to come.
