Supervisor's Weekly Message: Celebrating All Father Figures

Dear District 5 Residents,

I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits as we step into the heart of June, a month graced with the warmth of summer and the celebration of Father's Day this Sunday, June 18th.

Former Major League Baseball Player Wade Boggs once said, “Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.” This quote is inspiring to us all as we acknowledge all dads who partake in their children’s life. Your endless love, selflessness, and willingness to provide for your families are highly commended.

This Father's Day, I want to acknowledge and appreciate every father, stepfather, grandfather, and all father figures in our community. It is your leadership and exemplification that will carry on for generations to come.

I would also like to share a great resource that we have come across in the 5th District. The National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse has a great website for all fathers out there. Please take a short time to look at www.fatherhood.gov/dadication and all their useful resources and heartfelt stories.

Remember, every day is an opportunity to create memorable moments. This Father’s Day let us make sure we create memories full of respect, love, and appreciation for all who celebrate Father’s Day in our District.

Happy Father's Day!

Best Regards,

Yxstian Gutierrez

County Supervisor
