The gates open and a herd of kids race through the front gate to stand in line for the many water slides. Parents are dragged along as their kids try to be the first in the water while escaping the Californian heat. While some kids head off toward some water rides, a few brave souls head toward the Anileator, the tallest enclosed body-flume water slide in the world. Some families like to stay home to beat the heat, while others venture off to Splash Kingdom.

This water park has a variety of activities that families of all ages can enjoy. Some things to do are visit the trampoline park, the Fun Park or the amphitheater. After having such a fun-packed day there are many amazing food places to eat at. This place is a summer dream, but not every place is perfect.

On July 13, 2018 a San Bernardino County Health inspector visited the Fry Factory, a food location at Splash Kingdom. After their visit, it was decided that the health permit should be suspended until the company fixes its problems.

Here are some inspector comments from the review:

-Observed one (1) dead rodent contained in the rat trap behind the ice machine in this facility

-Rodent droppings were observed and scattered in different areas throughout the back dry storage area.

-According to the manager, the facility is located in an area that creates an issue to rodents.

-A large container of soda syrup was observed open and not contained underneath the cash register in the front kitchen area.

-Two (2) holes were observed in the ceiling in the back storage area within this facility. Ensure that holes are sealed properly to prevent vermin harborage.

-A thorough inspection was conducted, and it was concluded the facility will be closed down until rodent activity is properly handled.

This food location was later reopened on July 16th, 2018. Per the manager’s request, the inspector reviewed the location again. Upon completed, inspection the Fry Factory was reopened on that day.

Here are some comments from the inspector’s report:

-No evidence of vermin was found on this day of inspection; no droppings, no gnawing.

-All holes found in the last inspection report were observed properly sealed.

-A thorough cleaning was observed, professional cleaning services were currently working on sanitizing all areas of the kitchen upon inspection.

Luckily, Splash Kingdom was able to turn this around for a follow up inspection shortly after. They passed and were able to open their doors back up and resume business.
