"Education is my passion and priority. I have spent nearly 25 years working in education with roles at A.K. Smiley Public Library and teaching at University of Redlands. I've also served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.

The Community College system is dear to my heart. Community colleges enabled my mother to obtain her dream of a college degree, teaching me the life-changing value of education. Generous financial assistance enabled my journey at University of the Pacific, followed By UC Riverside, where I earned my MA and PhD.

My goal as your trustee is to benefit the entire community – providing students with the tools that will lead to better lives for them and their families, eliminating barriers to student success, supporting equity and diversity initiatives, and helping to break the cycle of poverty in which too many students find themselves. I'll also do everything I can to strengthen KVCR.

I am committed to building relationships, fostering trust, and leveraging the partnerships I have built in our area over more than two decades to benefit our students - making student success my priority.
