Supervisor Gutierrez's Weekly Message: Become A Volunteer

Dear District 5 Residents,

Riverside County thrives when residents give their time to better their community. A community is only as strong as its volunteers, and District 5 is no different. Fortunately, we have many options for residents to be of service. One of the most direct ways to volunteer in your community is by serving on a board or commission. We have many openings on our Boards and Commissions, and we're always looking for fresh ideas and perspectives that will help transform our District.

As a member of these commissions, you'll often get a first look at various plans and proposals before they arrive at the Board of Supervisors meetings for final consideration. It's a position with the potential to chart the course of your local community for years to come.

Serving on a commission or advisory board doesn't require a large time commitment. All you need to qualify is to be a registered voter over 18 years old, a resident of District 5, and have a passion for serving others and doing good. Visit rivcodistrict5.org and apply today!

Thank you for your support!
