In times of crisis, it is the community’s response that truly affects change and carries the weight. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the community has persevered, overcome and in turn found a new way to work, play and live. From adopting new ways of interaction to reduce the spread, to finding a new way to go to work- the community adapted. The community went back to work and found ways to lend a helping hand- by making masks, donating, volunteering and shopping local.

As a way to give back and thank our community for shopping local, popular local businesses are giving away weekly gifts to their supporters. These local businesses are also making it possible to give away $1,000 on December 3rd to one lucky winner.

Entering to win is easy and is at no purchase necessary, visit www.CityNewsGroup.com to start winning!

This week’s winner is Colton native, Isabel Salas. Salas is a stay-at-home mother who loves to volunteer in her hometown.

“My hobbies are volunteering with Cub Scouts (Cub Master), Volunteer at school (PTO President- Cooley Ranch Elementary), I love going to City of Colton Events, and I LOVE going to 66ers baseball Games,” Salas said.

While reading City News online, she recognized that the sweepstakes sponsors were local businesses that she likes to eat or shop at and decided to enter to win their weekly prizes.

When she had learned she won a gift card to the Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet, Salas expressed her appreciation for the rare Grocery Outlet’s products they have.

“I was very excited and I found some great items that I haven't seen anywhere else,” Salas said.

“We are thrilled and excited to have this opportunity to provide gift cards that will be given to local residents as part of City News’ promotion,” said Eric and Priscilla Santillan, Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet Operators.

Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet is located at: 22441 Barton Road in Grand Terrace, CA 92313 and is open from 8am - 9pm. Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet is also currently offering $3 off your purchase today if you sign up for their email list. When you sign up, you’ll receive exclusive coupon offers, new WOW! Item alerts, hottest selling WOW! Items and store news and events! Visit www.GroceryOutlet.com to sign up.

“We are happy to be part of the Grand Terrace community and be able to provide big savings on name-brand, high quality groceries,” said Eric and Priscilla Santillan.

“We appreciate the support that we have received from the community. We give back whenever we can, and we try every day to exceed customers’ expectations.”

A community should support each other and we hope this is a way to bring everyone together again. For more information please visit www.CityNewsGroup.com
