On Thursday, Nov. 5, the Renaissance Ballroom of the National Orange Show Events Center will transform into a Victorian Christmas Wonderland, welcoming all to honor the true spirit of Christmas through Live and Silent Auctions benefitting at-risk children in San Bernardino County. Tickets are $65 per person or $650 for a table of 10. Lunch will be served. The Bonnes Meres Auxiliary of Children’s Fund invites you to share your kindness, warmth and generosity with the at-risk children in our area. In addition to medical and therapeutic attention, funds raised at the event will help provide these neglected, abused or abandoned children shelter, clean clothes, food, education and opportunity for social development. Lee Jackman, Chair of the Children’s Fund Board of Directors, will be this year’s guest speaker. The Live Auction will be conducted by Martha Green, and features a two night San Diego getaway for two at Wyndham Harbour Lights, including a harbor cruise, distillery tour and gourmet dinner; a full set of braces courtesy of Dr. Byron Diehl; a Farm-to-Table Culinary Adventure prepared by Hell’s Kitchen Winner Holli Ugalde on her private farm; and a six pack of Angels baseball diamond section seats with two VIP parking passes for the 2016 season, along with a $200 food credit. Guests will not only enjoy the live and silent auctions, but also the chance to purchase Opportunity Drawing tickets for the Live Drawing. This year’s Opportunity Drawing prizes include a $1,000 Target shopping spree, an Apple watch, a welcome Christmas basket, a Tori Burch Fit Bit bracelet and Fit Bit Flex, a gift card tree valued at over $500, a custom decorated table setting, and a tasting with friends-themed table setting. Guests need not be present to win. Mallory Mudge, Chairwoman of the event, is excited to present this year’s Fund-An-Item: plush Mack Sheepdogs. These take-away reminders of Mack the Therapy Sheepdog, who spends countless hours at the Assessment Center, will provide comfort and peace to the children as they continue their journey to healing and hope. Guests will have the opportunity to contribute at their table toward fulfilling the goal of purchasing 2,000 Mack plush dogs to be given to children during the coming year. Silent Auction viewing and bidding will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the program at 10:30 a.m.
