LifeHouse Theater is hosting its Second Annual Gala Benefit Dinner in the Mitten Building’s Summerbell Room on Saturday evening, Nov. 22, at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited. This year’s program, titled “From the Page to the Stage,” will take guests on a guided musical journey through the creative process of presenting original LifeHouse stage shows. Characters such as Cinderella, Anne of Green Gables, Zorro, Snow White, Sherlock Holmes, and Sleeping Beauty will be on hand to greet and serve guests throughout the evening. Dinner tables will be themed around favorite stories from classic literature. In addition to the musical walk-through experience, guests will enjoy fine cuisine and a program of musical entertainment. This year’s special guest speaker is Marsha Gebara, past Redlands Woman of the Year and former President of the Associates of the Redlands Bowl. Gebara will discuss the power of inspirational performing arts, drawing on her years of experience as Redlands Bowl Program Director and as a judge of state talent competitions. “We are so excited to be sharing our unique program with Inland Empire performing arts enthusiasts,” observes LifeHouse Events Coordinator Tammy Scott. “We had so much fun last year and this year’s experience will include a toe-tapping behind-the-scenes look at all that goes into musical theater productions. Our hope is that everyone will leave thoroughly enchanted and inspired.” The evening’s festivities, dinner and program are $75 per person and $125 per couple. Proceeds will benefit the ongoing arts, education and outreach programs of the theater. Guests are asked to RSVP by Nov. 18 by calling LifeHouse Theater at 909-335-3037. The Mitten Building is located at 345 N. 5th Street in Redlands. Additional information may be obtained by calling Tammy Scott at 909-648-9618 or by visiting the theater website at lifehousetheater.com.
