Rendezvous Back to Route 66 Returns

SAN BERNARDINO>> The Rendezvous Back to Route 66 returns to downtown San Bernardino on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event area is bordered by 2nd Street to 5th Street and E Street to Arrowhead Avenue and admission is free. Prior to the event, is a poker run which will give the public a preview of approximately 50 of the 700 classic vehicles participating in the 2016 Rendezvous. The poker run is a cruise along a 17-mile route the morning of the event traveling through parts of San Bernardino from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The vehicles will start at the Western Region Little League Ballpark in north San Bernardino and travel south along Belmont Avenue to Palm Avenue, west on Palm to Cajon Boulevard. Then, south on Cajon and onto Mt. Vernon Ave to 2nd Street, left onto 2nd Street and then pass in front of the Santa Fe Train Depot on 3rd street. From there they will continue on 3rd to K Street, right on K to Rialto Ave, left on Rialto to E Street, right on E Street to Hospitality Lane, left on Hospitality to Waterman Avenue, left on Waterman to 3rd Street, and left on 3rd Street to the event area. The public is invited to view these classic vehicles from any point along this route, or come see them all at the event area where several food and merchandise vendors will be located. Additionally, entertainment will be provided throughout the day for children, as well as adults.
