Moreno Valley Elks Welcomes Local Police Canine Unit to

Enjoy demonstrations by the Moreno Valley local Police Canine Unit on November 16 at the local Elks lodge parking lot, 12125 Day Street, Moreno Valley. Events start at 2:30 PM. Meet the Canine Unit, local police officers and firefighters. View their equipment up close. Also featured is a drug awareness booth and powerpoint presentations on the danger of synthetic drugs. Coloring and poster contests will be available for children. Tasting for a chili cook-off contest will begin at 3:30 p.m., so make sure to bring your favorite chili. The entry fee is $10, and entries will be accepted at the door (2:30 p.m.). Hot dog mini-meals will be available. Elk member and DJ, Chris Clark will be there to add a spark to the afternoon events. At 6 p.m., a steak dinner will be held to honor outstanding police officers and firefighters. Part of the proceeds will go to police and fire department programs. We will remember those police officers and firefighters who have sacrificed their lives to keep our community safe. Chili cook-off winners will be announced during the dinner.
