29th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Each year, Dignity Health - St. Bernardine Medical Center welcomes hundreds of community members to celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional holiday meal.

 

Join us this year for our 29th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

 

This will be a drive-thru event. Recipients will be able to stay in their vehicles and drive through our Family Focus Center and volunteers will help load Thanksgiving Meals into waiting vehicles.

The Family Focus Center Location: 1931 N. E St. San Bernardino, CA 92404

Date: Tuesday, November 21, 2023

Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Drive Thru Line: Event entrance will be on D St.

(The car line will begin in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church)

Walk Up: For individuals with no vehicle. A separate line will form in front of The Family Focus Center on "E" Street

NOTE: If you are planning to share a ride, each household must register individually.

 

Celebration Includes:

  • Live DJ
  • Festive drive thru-experience
  • Be greeted by our St. Bernardine Medical Center Staff
  • Traditional Hot Thanksgiving Meals will provided.
  • Non-perishable groceries will be provided. (while supplies last)
  • Flu shots are available for anyone 18 years and older (with signed consent.)
  • Family Fun Activity Kits (while supplies last)

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive at the event?

We do ask that you begin lining up, in your car’s 10 minutes prior to 4 PM. We want to reduce the traffic congestion and ask that you do not block traffic by lining up too early.

Where is the Drive-Thru Entrance?

Enter on D St. Car line will begin in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church.

What do I do when I arrive at the event?

Please follow the instructions of our volunteers as they will direct you as to how to proceed into the event. Safety is a priority. Please be mindful of speed and your surroundings.

Can I attend the event if I do not have a vehicle?

Yes, we have a separate entrance for those individuals who do not have a vehicle. The Walk-Up line will begin in the front of The Family Focus Center on E Street. We do ask that you please maintain social distancing and follow the instructions of the volunteers.

Will I receive a meal if I am ridesharing?

Yes, if you ride share both families in the vehicle will receive meals, BUT we do ask that each household register separately.

How many meals can I receive?

We will be providing a Thanksgiving Meal and all its trimmings to each individual who is present in the car or in the walk-up line.

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County.
