Redlands Police conducted a specialized investigation and arrested two suspects shortly after they stole a bicycle from a residence in the 600 block of Jeremy Court last week. With several bicycles stolen over the course of a year from college students who lived at the home, RPD worked with one of the residents to apprehend the criminals. Shortly after 6 a.m. Friday, May 2, police received a report that another bicycle had been stolen from the residence. Police stopped a vehicle in the area and found the stolen bicycle in the back seat. In addition to the bicycle, officers located mail stolen from a Redlands mailbox, property (including two sets of car keys) stolen from a vehicle burglary during last month’s Run Thru Redlands, additional stolen property from another vehicle and illegal narcotics packaged for sale. Officers arrested Jose Daniel Anzures, 24, of Highland, for a felony warrant, conspiracy to commit theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance for sale; and James Michael Cornwell, 42, also from Highland, for conspiracy to commit theft and possession of stolen property. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Redlands Police Dispatch.
