Supervisor's Weekly Message: Listen to Our Telephone Town Hall

Dear District 5 Residents,

I am excited to share the success of the telephone town hall I hosted last Tuesday, April 18th. We had over 4,500 residents on the call at one time, which shows our community's strong interest and engagement.

The town hall brought in over a hundred questions from participants. The main discussion topics were homelessness, public safety, and questions about infrastructure projects. Seeing many residents engaged and actively participating in these essential conversations is excellent.

In addition, I shared information regarding the county's initiatives to tackle homelessness and enhance public safety, featuring updates from county personnel on the measures being taken to resolve these challenges.

Finally, I addressed numerous inquiries concerning infrastructure projects and their implications on the community, including the Gilman Springs Road Safety Improvement Corridor Project, for which the county intends to allocate an additional $44 million toward three further phases of enhancements. Overall, the telephone town hall was a great success, and I thank everyone who participated and contributed to the discussion. I appreciate your continued interest and engagement in our community, and I look forward to keeping you updated on future events and initiatives.

Gracias,

Yxstian Gutierrez Supervisor del Condado
