Ending the School Year with a Bounce!

Mrs. Cleveland's fourth grade class and Mrs. Hubbard's sixth grade class, from Loma Linda Elementary School, recently finished off the school year with a trip to Skytown, a trampoline park inside Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom. While parents and teachers caught up, students were treated to an hour of various bouncing games, pizza and dessert, followed by free time to check out the miniature golf courses, water bumper boats and more. Highlights from the fun day included freestyle trampoline jumping, rock climbing, trampoline basketball, and battle in the pit. Mrs. Cleveland got in on the fun, taking on a group of students in trampoline dodge ball. In fact, according to many students, like 6th grader Caleb Farrell, trampoline dodge ball was one of their favorite games. Mrs. Hubbard was all smiles during the lunch portion as she chatted with students and parents and was very humbled when the parents surprised her with a baby shower. "The parents are amazing and have been very supportive and involved with the class throughout the year," she shares. Mrs. Cleveland seconded that notion, adding that, "We couldn't do half the things we did this year without the parents." Some favorite memories from the past year? For sixth graders Olivia Kim and Caitlin Miller, there was the Outdoor School--a three-day camping trip and overall hanging out with their friends. When asked about what they would miss about this year's batch of students, Mrs. Cleveland replied, "They are one of the most friendliest and loving class I have had and they made me laugh a lot." For Mrs. Hubbard, "This class had a great sense of humor," and if there was anything she wanted the students to take with them as they go on to junior high and high school it would be, "to continue having a relationship with Jesus and always dream big." As the school year ends, events such as these are great ways to spend some time together one last time before the summer begins.
