SAN BERNARDINO >> The 50 cents per title fee to check out Audiobooks at the Feldheym Central Library and Rowe Branch of the San Bernardino Public Library has been eliminated by vote of the San Bernardino Library Board of Trustees. “Making these titles free for check out is a great example of the library board of trustees wanting to make these titles more accessible to the community and understanding the needs of the city,” said SBPL Library Director Ed Erjavek. These Audiobooks are available on Compact Disc (CD). They aren’t available at the Inghram and Villaseñor branches. For patrons who enjoy listening to books – SBPL also offers its library cardholders free access to Audiobooks and eBooks via its subscription to Overdrive, which is sponsored by the San Bernardino City Library Foundation. The Overdrive collection can be accessed by San Bernardino Public Library cardholders by going directly to the library website at www.sbpl.org and selecting “E for Me” or directly at www.sbpl.lib.overdrive.com.
