Under the direction of Dr. Judd Bonner, dean of the Collinsworth School of Music of California Baptist University (CBU), the California Baptist University Choir and Orchestra, 150+ vocalists and instrumentalists will present a stellar concert at Loma Linda University Church, 11125 Campus St, Loma Linda on Saturday night, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is part of the 83rd Annual Postgraduate Convention of the Alumni Association of Loma Linda University School of Medicine. The community is invited. The choir and orchestra perform some 50 concerts annually. The group embodies what it means to be a student in the CBU music program; excitement and passion for worship, honoring your art with discipline, genuine engagement with every audience, expressing undeniable joy and charisma, and, most importantly, using ones musical gifts to worship. To enjoy the University Choir and Orchestra experience is to be led before God in both intimate and explosive corporate praise. The group, over the years, has produced some 15 CDs, with the most recent one being “How Excellent, Live.” Tickets for the concert are now on sale and can be obtained by calling 909-558-0503. Ticket purchases may be charged to MasterCard or VISA credit cards. Tickets are also available at Sound Theology Music Store in Redlands, the Student Affairs office of Loma Linda University, 11139 Anderson St, or Loma Linda University School of Medicine Alumni Association office at 11245 Anderson Street, Suite 200. All seating is reserved. Golden Circle VIP tickets, prime front center seating are $50. Other reserved main floor tickets are $20, $15 and $10. Those wishing to attend are advised to purchase tickets early for best seating. The evening promises to be one of praise and worship, one that will be long remembered for the journey and passion of musical praise most professionally done.
