Historic California Theatre Continues to Bring Arts and Entertainment to Downtown San Bernardino

The historic California Theatre remains one of San Bernardino's most treasured landmarks, continuing to serve as a cultural centerpiece nearly a century after first opening its doors. Throughout the year, the beautifully restored venue hosts concerts, theatrical productions, comedy performances, dance recitals, film screenings, and community celebrations that attract visitors from across the Inland Empire. As downtown redevelopment efforts continue, the theater stands as a reminder that preserving the city's rich history can also support its future economic growth.

Originally opening in 1928, the California Theatre was designed during an era when elaborate movie palaces represented the pinnacle of entertainment.
