In Memory of Donald Harry Bartee

57 year resident of Grand Terrace, passed away on Oct 11, 2017 at the age of 90. Born 11 Aug 1927 in Riverside California. Don graduated from Riverside Poly High School in 1945 and served in the Navy at the end of WWII.        

In 1950 he married Mary Lou Kretz and moved to Ontario CA, where they had they had two sons, and Don worked as a commercial printer. In 1960 they moved to Grand Terrace were Don worked for A&D Printing in Colton and later owned the business, retiring in 1986. He was a director in the Colton Chamber of Commerce and a 40 year member of the Colton Kiwanis Club where he served a year as President.  

For the past 16 years Don and his companion Arlene Weaver, have traveled the world and have been on several cruises. Besides traveling Don liked to garden, cook, play bridge, and volunteer at the Grand Terrace Senior Center, where he has been the Treasurer for the past 17 years. He is also a member of Eagles 997 and the Fontana Rialto Elks 2013.

Don is preceded in death by wife of 51 years Mary Lou and Son Jeffrey. He is survived by son Gary Daughter-In-Law Leda, 2 Grand Children Michael and Heather, 2 Great Grand Sons Brandon and Tyler, and Loving companion Arlene.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing 25 Oct from 4pm to 8pm and service at 1pm  26 Oct at The Valley View Chapel, Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E Washington St., Colton, CA 92324.

A Celebration of life to follow at The Grand Terrace Senior Center from 3:30pm to 6pm. The Family requests In lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Assn. or The American Cancer Society.
