City of Moreno Valley Recognizes Victoriano Elementary with Proclamation

MORENO VALLEY >> Victoriano Elementary School was recognized Tuesday, March 1, during the Moreno Valley City Council meeting with a Mayoral Proclamation for being identified as a 21st Century Exemplary School. The Mayoral Proclamation signed by Mayor Gutierrez states: "WHEREAS, all children in Moreno Valley should have access to the highest quality education possible as the quality of education is critically important to our economic vitality; and WHERAS, an effective education plays an important role in preparing students to be successful adults; and WHEREAS, Victoriano Elementary School provides an outstanding educational program focused on S.T.E.M. and subsequently has the highest science scores of fifth grade students in the county; and WHEREAS, Victorian Elementary School has been nationally recognized as an Exemplar School by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills; and WHEREAS, the strength and reputation of an area’s public school district is of great importance to a community; NOW, THERFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED, I, Dr. Yxstian A. Gutierrez, do hereby recognize Victoriano Elementary for their achievements." “We are honored to be recognized with this mayoral proclamation. It is a testament to the talented and hard-working staff at our school who are dedicated to ensuring learning for all students,” said Victoriano Elementary School Principal, Molly Large.
