The Grand Terrace Football Booster Club hosted a fundraising event “The Titan Terror Zone” on Oct. 17, at The Venue in support of the Grand Terrace High School football. Family members of the football players, the football booster committee, and others were present showing their support. The evening was full of relaxing fun and community networking. There was dance music, a costume contest, and food. The event was made possible with donations from local businesses that donated their money and resources towards the team. Elvira Valenzuela, Booster Vice President said, “I do this for the football program as it raises money for the Grand Terrace High School Football team, and it helps pay for the varsity team meals every Friday, equipment, uniforms, and the gear.” Vanessa Mazza, Booster President stated she would like to see more of these types of events in the future. Part of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be going towards next year and towards an end of the year banquet in celebration of the football players. Lydia Gomez, Booster Treasurer said, “Student involvement in football is important since it helps keep the kids busy and out of trouble, and thus leading to a safer community.” Cecilia Morales, Parent Supporter said, “I think the booster club is doing a wonderful job and they are all about the team." Lisa Mixon, JV liaison said, “We rely on the generosity of the community to support our football programs and any future support would be greatly appreciated.”
