The Vanguard Community Art Gallery played host to its show Fire & Ice with an artists’ reception on Sunday, Sept. 8. Several artists were on hand to meet and talk with gallery patrons as they took in the show. The artists represented in the Fire & Ice Show included Rick Archer, Jeni Bate, Peter Carter, Debby Johnson, Crystal Lauren, Wayne Knight, Vivica Mays and Gwen Perez.
The Vanguard Community Art Gallery, in conjunction with the Moreno Valley Cultural Arts Foundation, seeks to promote the arts. It does this by featuring the work of numerous local artists who work in a variety of media and styles including fine art, abstracts, photography, glass, fabrics, steampunk and more. All of the artwork is available for purchase.
The Vanguard Community Art Gallery is located at the Moreno Valley Mall, upstairs, next door to Mrs. Fields Cookies. The gallery is free to the public and is open Tuesdays through Sundays. The doors open at noon.
