Kaiser Permanente Moreno Valley Medical Center campus is expanding! We celebrated the opening of this new facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 27. It is a pleasure to be a part of this community and to now have the facility to expand the services offered in Moreno Valley to serve our members on the east side of Riverside County.

This 93,132-square-foot location is a two-story extension of our hospital that will expand our capabilities and give some of our departments more space and access to new equipment and technology. This is also a building that was carefully planned, with details and thoughtful designs in every area to enhance the patient experience, from the colors, art, and décor to the lighting and use of natural daylight.

This expansion is significant in that additional services will be available to a growing community. The new building will have a Clinical Lab, Blood Bank and Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology, six Operating Rooms, Sterile Processing, a 28-bay pre- and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and a six-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). There are so many details and thoughtful designs in every area that will enhance the patient experience. Patients will be able to receive care at our new Diagnostic and Treatment building when it officially opens in mid-August. For more information, visit kp.org/MorenoValley.

“This month marks Moreno Valley Medical Center’s 15th year as a Kaiser Permanente hospital, and we’re excited to celebrate the occasion with the opening of the new Diagnostic and Treatment Building. Much has changed since 2008 to transform what began as a small community hospital into a full medical center. This addition helps our community not only by increasing access to health care where and when our members need it but also by providing more jobs for the community.”
- Sammy Totah, Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Hospitals, Riverside Area

“This state-of-the-art Diagnostic & Treatment Center embodies Kaiser Permanente’s unwavering commitment to bringing high-quality and effective healthcare to our community,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “This grand opening signifies that the future of modern healthcare in Southern California is right here in Moreno Valley. I am excited to see the community benefit from this cutting-edge facility.”
- Ulises Cabrera, Mayor of the City of Moreno Valley

“Access to high-quality healthcare is important in every community, and I am pleased to see Kaiser Permanente enhance its already robust level of service with this new Diagnostic & Treatment Center. The residents of District 4 and throughout Moreno Valley deserve this level of comprehensive healthcare, and I commend Kaiser Permanente for bringing this new standard to the community.”

- Cheylynda Barnard, 4th District Council Member
