In an effort to combat the struggles that the economy has imposed on restaurants, a local entrepreneur has come up with a unique and affordable dining option that is taking the community by storm. Enter "Bambino's," a new Italian restaurant offering a creative twist on classic Italian cuisine – spaghetti served in a bucket. We recently sat down with the mastermind behind Bambino's to get the inside scoop on this exciting venture.

The concept for Bambino's started with a simple visit to San Diego, where Mike Miller, the founder observed a local Italian restaurant advertising a family meal at an enticing price. The idea of providing affordable, family-friendly dining in tough economic times sparked inspiration. As the founder and owner explained, "People just can't afford to dine out every day with the current state of the economy. Spaghetti is a universally loved dish that doesn't break the bank, so why not serve it in a bucket?"

The concept quickly evolved, with a name that needed to have an Italian touch and go with "bucket." After much brainstorming, "Bambino's" was born. "Bambino" means "baby" in Italian, and it perfectly encapsulated the essence of serving spaghetti in a bucket, with the founder's vision of it being the ideal container. The idea was set, and the iconic Bambino's logo was designed.

Bambino's features a simple and budget-friendly menu. The signature offering is the family bucket, priced at just $19.99, which can feed four people for only $5 per person. The basic bucket comes with 2 pounds of spaghetti and approximately 24 ounces of marinara sauce. Customers can also upgrade to a meat sauce for an extra dollar per person, making it $23.99 for the family bucket. Additionally, meatballs and garlic bread can be added to complete the meal.

With two current locations, Bambino's is exploring the possibility of opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the future. As for the dining experience, Bambino's focuses on takeout and delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. While the restaurant offers convenient dining solutions for families, it remains strictly a to-go operation for now, to keep costs low and operations smooth.

The founder emphasizes the quality of the marinara sauce, which is a vegetable-based sauce with the option of a meat sauce for meat lovers. Both sauces have been fine-tuned to perfection, resulting in positive reviews from early customers. The business began in 2018 as an extension of Woody's, and the founder's years of culinary experience shine through in the flavors of Bambino's.

For those eager to try Bambino's, orders can be placed by calling Woody's Classic Grill at 909-422-1100. The restaurant is also working on launching an online ordering platform, set to be operational soon. The menu caters to various group sizes, offering single, double, family, and even party buckets for larger gatherings. With competitive prices and an innovative concept, Bambino's is rapidly gaining popularity in the local dining scene.

So, if you're in Grand Terrace and craving some budget-friendly Italian comfort food, Bambino's might just be your new go-to spot. Whether it's a small family dinner or a larger gathering, Bambino's is serving up delicious spaghetti in a bucket at prices that won't empty your wallet.
