Calling all pet lovers! Last Saturday, June 29, the City of Colton Police Department (CPD) hosted their third and very last low-cost vaccination and licensing clinic of the year, which was available to all pet owners. In case you have missed the announcement, do not fret. In the year of 2014, the city of Colton will be hosting, yet again, another dog license and low-cost rabies vaccination clinic. To help assure that your pet receives all that is required, Animal Services Officers, Mike Aldrich and Eric Wickman, along with Lieutenant Joe Gutierrez will be assisting you every step of the way. Also attending this event will be Dr. Kenneth Cox, DVM, and helpful staff members of the Colton Police Department, making your pets’ experiences safe and accurate. An extended line of pet owners and their furry friends lined up to Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. to take advantage of the opportunity to license and vaccinate their pets for a discounted price. Veterinarian Dr. Kenneth Cox provided his services at the event. Dr. Cox has been servicing pets for over 40 years. With animals of his own, he said, “It is extremely important that I continue to service people and their pets, to meet my goal by making sure that all pets get the correct vaccinations on time.” “The purpose of an event, like the Paws for a Moment that CPD brings to pet lovers and their pets, is to see that all their animals are licensed and can receive their vaccinations at a low cost, making services convenient to the community of pet owners,” said Dr. Cox. Further dog licensing and low-cost rabies vaccination clinics will start again in 2014. For more information concerning the next dog licensing low cost clinic hosted by the City of Colton Police Department, contact the City of Colton Finance Department at 909-370-5555.
