On Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at approximately 9:54 a.m., a male suspect called the Loma Linda University Medical Center and said he was "Making a bomb and the hospital better be ready." A few minutes later, the same male suspect called Grand Terrace High School and said there was a bomb on the campus. Both bomb threats were called from the same phone number. Sheriff Detectives later discovered that a third bomb threat was made at an apartment complex in the city of San Bernardino. The caller's identification showed the same phone number as the other two bomb threats with the name John Davis. Thorough searches of all three locations revealed no suspicious devices and an investigation began as to where these calls originated from. Through that investigation, John Davis was found to have an address in Phelan. Davis was contacted and arrested. The phone that was used to make the bomb threats was found in Davis possession with evidence to support the bomb threats he made. Davis was transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 148.1(a)- False Bomb Threats in lieu of $25,000 bail. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Detective Jose Ruiz at the Central Station (909) 387-3545. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to contact the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or you may leave information on the We-Tip website at www.wetip.com.
