RESULTS: Colton Ken Hubb State Game

Colton Ken Hubb’s 2014 9-10 year old Allstar Team concluded their season with 10 wins, 1 loss in taking the championship in District 21, Section 8 and Division 3 of Southern California State. The KH All-stars won 14-2 against San Marino to take home the California Championship Banner. Ashlyn Zermeno fan out eight shutouts and six putouts plus team product 10 hits to win the championship game. Ashlyn had a total of 48 strikeouts in this tournament plus 29 in Sectional for a total of 77 strikeouts. Lucia Navarrette also did a great job pitching in the District 21 tournament with 21 strikeouts and nine more in the first game in Sectional 8 Tournament vs. San Bernardino Newmark. The KH team produced 39 runs in this State Tournament and only allowed five runs with no losses. In Sectionals, the only loss was to Southridge (1-8) but the team came back the next day to win 2-1, also winning the Section 8 Championship. In District 21, KH won the championship against Grand Terrace 16–3 in four inning mercy rule. This is the first 9-10 Ken Hubbs Softball Allstar team to take home three banners.
