Mayor's Message: Beautify MoVal

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

As Mayor, I’m often asked by residents about volunteer opportunities available through the City. So I am excited to let you know about a new volunteer opportunity we are launching this week called Beautify MoVal.

Part of the Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful initiative, Beautify MoVal allows individuals, non-profits, community groups and businesses large and small to help with the beautification of City parks, trails and roads (or trail or road segments) by committing to regular clean-ups, or by sponsoring others to do it.

There are three levels of program benefits based on the commitment made, and all partners receive high-impact exposure ranging from including their name on the website to receiving a special presentation at a City Council meeting.  And signing up is quick and easy and can be done 24/7 on the new web portal linked to the City’s homepage, www.moval.org/beautify.

As part of the Beautify MoVal Program, three Community Days of Service will take place this year on the following Saturday mornings:  May 8, August 14, and November 13. Each Community Day of Service will begin at City Hall with sign-in and coffee and pastries before we head out to beautify a location in need of special care.

With 32 parks, 40 trail segments and 100 road segments, there are plenty of opportunities in 2021 to Beautify MoVal!
