Kristina Heredia is this week’s winner of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing. As this week’s prize winner, Heredia has won a delightful dinner for two from local favorite, Hannah’s Restaurant.

Heredia earned this awesome deal by submitting an online entry form on the City News Group website.

“It feels amazing! I never win and am excited I did,” Heredia said. “I can’t believe I won! This is awesome!”

At absolutely no purchase necessary, Heredia comes up with the big win as well as an opportunity to win the grand prize on December third of $1,000!

“I saw this sweepstakes in the local newspaper,” Heredia said. “It sounded interesting and I wanted to enter and give it a try.”

Local businesses all over the Inland Empire are participating in the sweepstakes opportunity drawing and are giving away free weekly prizes as a way to give back to the community and thank you for shopping local during these times.

This week’s prize winner unfortunately lost her job due to the pandemic, shifting her life greatly.

“It has impacted my life tremendously from losing my job to having a lot going on personally,” Heredia said.

However, she finds solace and happiness when she spends time with her son, dances and spends time with her family.

Hannah’s Restaurant is thrilled and cannot wait to provide Heredia with a warm delicious meal for two as well as to serve everyone in the community again.

"Please come join us, we are open again!," said Kay Salazar, Hannah's Restaurant owner. "We are using precautions to keep you safe."

Hannah’s Restaurant, located at 1355 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404, is opened for patio dining and take-out Tuesday through Friday from 11 am- 8 pm and Saturday from 4- 8 pm.

Hannah’s Restaurant is still serving all of your savory favorites from roast prime rib, roasted turkey, hot sandwiches, burgers and most importantly their famous and flavorful homemade breads, cookies, brownies and coffee cake. New-comers will always find the perfect item to order, as the menu has a variety of options, from traditional American dinners, a low-cost seniors menu and vegetarian menu.

"We hope she has a great dinning experience and we're excited to know if she will do the patio dining or take-out experience," Salazar said.

As a member of the community, we thank everyone who has continued to support their local businesses.

How have you had to adapt? City News welcomes residents and local businesses to share their stories with us and let us know how you have adapted and accommodated throughout this pandemic.
