Senior Night was a special event where seniors were able to walk with their families for what was most likely the last home game of their football career. The stands are filled with more families and friends than most game nights in show of support to their Seniors that are in football, cheer, and band.

The stadium was full of emotions and the adrenaline was thick in the air.  Cheerleaders cheering excitingly as the Titans took the field ready for war against the visiting Kaiser team trying to take the title away from them.

There was no way this game couldn’t have been better planned for. With it being Senior Night and Grand Terrace has a battle against Kaiser for the Sunkist League title. Seniors got to walk on the field with their parents as they took in the crowd’s excitement and were able to remember this moment for a lifetime.

Kaiser’s Trev Tribble #5 found his open receiver for a 66-yard catch and ran to get to the red zone. Kaiser Cats capped their drive with 4 consecutive runs by Christian Hunter #28 for 20 yards plus a 1-yard diving touchdown.

Grand Terrace couldn’t get anything going on their first drive. Until, Kyle Waldon #16 booted a moon shot for 41 yards into Kaiser territory.

Kaiser Cats were driving down the field with their bread & butter, Hunter #28. They pulled off an amazing fake screen pass to Jesus Flores #81 that threw a 25-yard pass touchdown to Lucas Manduiano #2.

Grand Terrace had good field position at the 35-yard line after a squib kick on kickoff. GT was on the 40-yard line when Mekhi Lewis #12 ran around the pocket to throw a 40 bomb to the endzone for Corey Young #18 leaping over 2 defenders for the touchdown to get Gt on the board 7-14.

Kaiser answered with a 4-play drive ending with Hunter #28 sprinting down the sideline for a 36-yard touchdown run.

Coming out of halftime GT was playing on another level! Getting a 30-yard kick return to the opponent 40. Anthony Valencia #33 ran like a truck breaking tackles and keeping his legs moving getting to the 10-yard line for a 30-yard gain. GT couldn’t answer on fourth and goal on the 5-yard line when Kaiser’s Hunter #28 made a great play batting down the ball to force a turnover on downs. Hunter #28 was playing lights out making plays on both sides of the ball.

Kaiser on the 5-yard line handed the ball off to Adam Munoz #25 that went off for a 36-yard run but getting pushed back by penalties down to the 28 for a second and goal play. Hunter #28 broke off a toss play to the left and jumped over the cornerback for a touchdown that’s going to go on his highlight film. Extending the lead 28-7.

Lonzel Bradford #13 broke off a huge 50-yard catch and run, but got stripped for the fumble to give Kaiser Cats the ball back.

Next GT drive, Bradford #13 made up for his fumble by breaking off for a 48-yard catch and run across the field for a touchdown lowering the lead 28-14.

Grand Terrace stopped Kaiser for a punt. Lewis #12 threw a 50-yard bomb with the cannon he calls his arm down to the 1-yard line. Jeremy Massey #37 ran it in to make this a ball game with this comeback scoring 2 touchdowns in the last 4 minutes.

GT on the first play started the drive at their own 17-yard line. Throwing a pass over the middle to Young #18 for 30 yards. Lewis #12 pass to Dominic Balderrama #19 made a what seemed as a 3rd and forever to a manageable 4th and 7.  Lewis #12 rolled out left the pocket to give his receivers more time to get open but barely missed Bradford #13 for a toe taping catch to end their chances for a comeback.

Kaiser Cats won 28-21 against Grand Terrace Titans to secure their first Sunkist League title with Hunter #28 leading the way for his team.
