Dear Moreno Valley Residents:

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to your community – and we’re making it easier than ever before to make a difference.

Join us at the MyMoVal Community Engagement Open House this Thursday, July 12 at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center to learn how you can roll up your sleeves and pitch in.

MyMoVal Community Engagement Open House

July 12, 2018

5-7 p.m.

Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center

14075 Frederick St.

Refreshments will be provided.

Meet with representatives from City managed programs including Animal Care, Fire and Police Department Explorers, and Community Clean-ups. Learn how these programs serve our community – and how you can get involved!

The City is looking for enthusiastic residents to join one of our many boards and commissions, including the Arts Commission, Library Commission, and Parks, Community Services, and Trails Committee.

Make sure you check out the available openings on the City’s website. You’ve got great ideas – put them in to action!

Thursday’s open house will also showcase the City’s www.MyMoVal.org, an online portal that easily connects you to community volunteer opportunities.

Organizations looking for volunteers can post their local charitable events on www.MyMoVal.org to attract helping hands to their efforts and volunteers can easily find the right opportunities to give back to their neighbors.

City programs will include, but are not limited to:

·   Adopt-a-Neighborhood

·   Adopt-a-Road

·   Adopt-a- Street

·   Animal Care

·   Anti-Graffiti Patrol

·   Boards and Commissions

·   Citizen Patrol

·   Code Enforcement

·   Community Clean-ups

·   Community Emergency Response Team

·   Employment Resource Center

·   Fire and Police Reserve and Explorer Programs

·   Keep Moreno Valley Clean and Beautiful

·   Literacy Tutoring

Let’s work together to make Moreno Valley even better!
