Movies on the Big Screen are Coming to Colton

Colton families looking for a fun movie in the park this summer don't have to go farther than their own community. The Colton Community Services Department will host its Movies in the Park series, kicking off later this month with "Paddington." All movies are free of charge and are open to all. All movies will begin at dusk, approximately around 8:15 p.m. Families will also have the chance to play Wii games on the big screen, enjoy a jumper, visit informational booths and enjoy a snack bar. Community Services is also offering a passport incentive; Kids ages 3 to 17 may collect a passport at the informational booth during the first movie and get it stamped for all seven films receive a special prize. The Movies in the Park schedule is as follows: • Friday, June 19 - Paddington, Fleming Park, 525 La Cadena Drive. • Friday, June 26 - Boxtrolls, Veterans Park, 290 O Street. • Friday, July 3 - Freebirds, Davis Park, 1055 Laurel Drive. • Friday, July 17 – Big Hero 6, Fleming Park. • Friday, July 24 – Frozen (Sing-A-Long), Rich Dauer Park, 955 Torrey Pines Drive. • Friday, July 31 – Space Jam, Rancho Mediterranean, 700 East Washington Street. • Friday, August 7 – Cinderella (2015), Fleming Park. Dress up as your favorite princess this evening for Annual Princess Night. For more information, call the Colton Community Services Department at 909-370-6153.
