MORENO VALLEY >> In honor of July being Parks and Recreation month, the City of Moreno Valley is sponsoring a “Parks Make Life Better” photo contest. Residents are encouraged to participate by submitting a photo and testimonial of an individual or family and/or friends enjoying a favorite City of Moreno Valley park, program or facility (skate park, Cottonwood Golf Course, community center, senior center). Whether it is a park or playground, senior or pre-school program, youth or adult sports league or community center class, the City of Moreno Valley wants to see how parks make your life better. The first 50 people to submit photos will receive a “Parks Make Life Better” t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 10th place, and the winning entries will be featured in the Winter/Spring edition of the Soaring Activity Guide. The top 3 photo submissions will be recognized at the Arts Commission meeting on July 27. OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES • Entries will be accepted May 16th – June 16th. • To submit an entry, email your photo, testimonial and waiver to recreation@moval.org. • Photo needs to be a .PDF, .JPG, or .EPS file. • If scanning a photo, please scan at 300DPI. • One submission per family. • Photo must be taken at a City of Moreno Valley park or facility. • If you would like a Parks Make Life Better logo sign for your photo, please visit the Conference and Recreation Center at 14075 Frederick Street.
