Community Partnerships Give Back

City News Group has been partnering up with local businesses and giving back to the community. Businesses have been doing everything they can to keep their doors open during this pandemic. These businesses across our community are in the fight of a lifetime- trying to keep their doors open while keeping everyone’s health as the number one priority. They have had to find new ways to service their customers, parents had to find ways to do distance learning with their children, and many had to adjust to a life of working from home. Even when faced with the pandemic, our community members have shown how they can overcome this challenge and persevere through it.

We look up to and are proud of our local businesses for keeping their doors open and for continuing to serve the community.

As a thank you to their customers these local businesses have been giving away weekly prizes for people who have been entering to win through the City News Group website. Members from communities all over the Inland Empire and the state of California have been entering into the City News Group Sweepstakes and winning some amazing prizes! The excitement for this program and its prizes can be felt throughout many residents in our communities.

Monica Luna, a resident of Riverside, is an office clerk in the IT Department for Riverside County Office of Education and was excited to learn that she had won because she wasn’t completely sure if she would win.

Then learning she won a gift from Domino’s, Luna was grateful. “It is a fantastic feeling to win anything, I feel blessed, it made my Friday,” Luna said. “Yes, I won today!”

“I’m so stoked!!!” said Melissa Merry. “To have won a $30 gift card from Hannah’s Restaurant. I enter contests and I pray to win. So to hear and see that I won just by entering...I’m really happy.”

Not only are the residents excited, but business owners have also been proud to take part in this Sweepstakes and happy to give back to their customers.

“This program is awesome because it rewards not only the people coming to the website, it rewards the businesses,” Mike Miller, owner of Woody’s Classic Grill said. “It’s a win-win situation for everybody.”

“Being the independent owner-operator of the Grocery Outlet in Grand Terrace allows us to be part of our community on a more in-depth level,” said Eric and Priscilla Santillan. “We love that we have the freedom to provide the support that the community needs and to engage with our local partners.”

With many prizes given already, City News Group is getting ready to give away the grand prize of $1000 to one lucky person just in time for Christmas! Everyone who has been entering has also been entering to win the $1000 drawing that will be done on December 3rd. Imagine what you could do with that money, pay some bills, take a nice getaway, treat yourself and loved ones, or shop just in time for the holidays. Your possibilities are endless, and your chances? Limitless.

There is no purchase necessary. You just have to locate the money bag icon on any of the participating advertisers and submit your entry form! You can enter once per day, per ad, per newspaper. So submit your entries now for your chance to be eligible for the $1000 grand prize!

Congratulations to our winners so far, keep entering for more chances to win!
