By San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra

06/26/2019 at 04:59 PM

The San Bernardino Symphony Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of Paul Steinke to the Board effective July 1, 2019.

Steinke recently joined St. Bernardine’s Medical Center as their Chief Financial Officer bringing with him over 30 years in hospital operations management. St Bernardine’s has an established relationship with the Symphony foundational to their shared mission to improve the quality of life in the region. In addition, the hospital’s medical staff has a history of providing generous financial support to the San Bernardino Symphony.

Born of German parents and having attended concerts, operas, and musical theater all his life, Steinke is highly familiar with all genres classical and contemporary music. He became familiar with the Symphony while attending an event for St. Bernardine’s held during a concert rehearsal and was amazed at the quality of musicianship.

“Utilizing professional musicians from across Southern California means receiving a concert on par with anything at the Disney or Segerstrom Hall,” said Steinke adding, “There is no substitute for hearing a live orchestra playing in such an acoustic masterpiece as the California Theater.”

Steinke characterizes the Symphony as “another gem in the crown of San Bernardino” which he was pleased to discover. He has also been impressed with the programming and community involvement the Symphony enjoys in the area. In his role as a board member, Steinke looks forward to providing financial guidance and ambassadorship, as well as education to the community on the benefits of supporting the Symphony’s more than 90-year commitment to fine arts.
