Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) was selected as one of the 20 Feeding America food banks that received a $5,000 community grant earlier this year by the National Association of Theatre Owners California Nevada (NATO California Nevada). These grants were designed to support a variety of arts and social service organizations.
“Food Insecurity is at the center of the many issues our Inland Empire region faces,” said Carolyn Solar, Chief Executive Officer of FARSB. “We are grateful to NATO California Nevada for being a supporter of our community. This support will ensure that fewer have to choose between feeding their family and paying essential bills.”
We pride ourselves at FARSB on the fantastic work the staff and volunteers do daily to make our facility run effectively. Luckily for us, we have over 250 community partners that help us distribute food in the area. We are truly grateful for this generous donation awarded to our organization which will provide up to 35,000 meals to help alleviate the hunger in the Inland Empire.
“Theater owners in California and Nevada are grateful that movie-goers are returning. Our theaters are still climbing out of a difficult situation created by the Covid pandemic, but recognize many community organizations are still in a difficult place,” said Todd Vradenburg, President and Chief Executive Officer, NATO California Nevada. “In order to preserve the magical cinematic experience now and for future generations, it matters that we support the people who live and work in our communities,” Vradenburg added.
The Association’s charitable fund is committed to building healthier and stronger communities by providing guidance, member engagement, financial grants, and resources to arts and social service organizations that enrich the lives of people living in California and Nevada.
With this commitment in mind, the Association’s Community Outreach Committee invites NATO California Nevada members to nominate nonprofit organizations for funding consideration on an annual basis.
