Parents and families of patients at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) can sleep a little better—literally—now, thanks to Inland Women Fighting Cancer and Stater Bros. Charities. These groups presented the hospital with a check for $10,000 on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The funds, which were raised at the 5th Annual Believe Walk on Oct. 7, will go towards sleeper couches in patient rooms on the hematology and oncology unit (4800). “We are so thankful and appreciative to be getting these convertible couch beds,” said Elizabeth Rankin, RN, patient care director for pediatric hematology/oncology, blood and marrow transplant service and adolescents at LLUCH. “This gift will provide families with a comfortable place to sleep so they can be with their kids during their stay at the hospital.”
