Vista del Lago High School Parents Get an Online Jump on Registration

Taking advantage of technology to make everyone’s lives a little easier, Vista del Lago High School is offering its entire registration packet to parents online for download at their convenience, thus eliminating the need to make an extra trip to the school just to pick up the forms. Included this year is an electronic version of the MVUSD Parent/Student Handbook. The handbook should be read before signing any forms. “Parents really appreciate the opportunity to print out their forms at home at their convenience,” explained Assistant Principal Gary Yetter. “It saves them a trip to the school to pick up their packets, and saves our staff a great deal of time and money copying and assembling almost 2,000 hard-copy versions.” This is the second year Vista del Lago has made its forms available online, and Yetter said the majority of parents now download their own registration materials. Those without the ability to print their own forms can still pick up a hard-copy packet at the school starting July 31, which is also registration day for incoming seniors. “Especially for parents of seniors, downloading forms early and getting them filled out before registration day will make for a much smoother registration,” Yetter explained. All nine forms available on the website at www.vistadellagohs.org must be completed, signed and returned on the appropriate registration day: July 31 for 12th graders; Aug. 1 for 11th graders; Aug. 4 for 10th graders, and Aug. 5 for 9th graders. A make-up registration day is set for Aug. 6. Please note: students must be present to be registered. All the information and forms needed to complete the student registration in both English and Spanish are available on the school’s website at www.vistadellagohs.org.
