Victoria Bacon, recently graduated from Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) in Redlands. She received the Bishop's Scholarship, a competitive award that is given to a student attending a Catholic school in the San Bernardino Diocese who will attend a Catholic High School. Her scholarship will pay for her tuition throughout her four years at Aquinas High School.

During her nine years at SHA, Victoria took honors classes and was on the honors roll each semester. She was a three-year member of the Academic Decathlon. This year her school team won the Diocese competition and represented the Diocese at the state level. She was in Student Council for two years as Religious Commissioner and Historian. She was a choir member from third through eighth grade. She was a cheerleader for four years and one of the captains in 8th grade. She competed on the school soccer, basketball, track, and volleyball teams. Her 8th grade volleyball team won the ICSL championship title in volleyball last fall. A nine year Girl Scout, Victoria earned the Silver Award, the second highest award in Girl Scouts, for her project at her church, Christ the Redeemer in Grand Terrace, entitled "Wash your hands and say your prayers, because germs and Jesus are everywhere".

Victoria received the Marian Award in 7th grade. This award is given to a student at SHA who displays the qualities of Mary. She also received a scholarship from the Italian Catholic Federation at Holy Name of Jesus Church.

In addition to her school activities, Victoria is active at her church, volunteering when needed and a regular altar server.

Recognized at Aquinas High School for placing into Honors classes, Victoria will be involved with the Law Academy, volleyball, soccer, and track. She would like to attend a college near the beach and pursue a career in law.
