Wednesdays in July means free concerts at Cal State San Bernardino.

Musical styles from Latin dance to classic rock ’n’ roll to rhythm and blues to jazz and more will be offered every Wednesday at 7 p.m. beginning in July.

The concerts will take place at the Lower Commons patio area, and complimentary parking will be in Lot D.

The concert will also be an opportunity for the community to donate to The DEN, CSUSB’s Food Pantry. The DEN (Delivering Emergency Nourishment) will accept non-perishable food items. Learn more about The DEN at its website, http://engage.csusb.edu/TheDENFoodPantry.htm.

What's left of this summer’s concert lineup?

Desperado, July 19

The Los Angeles-based Eagles tribute band Desperado is a collaboration of talented musicians who keep the legendary ’70s band’s music alive. With three fantastic vocalists, Desperado sounds like the real thing. The band’s love for the music, dedication to its authenticity, and quality of impersonation and performance has kept the Eagles’ sound fresh and fun. Fans everywhere can appreciate hits like “Hotel California,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “Witchy Woman.”

Renee Rojanaro and After Dark, July 26

Renee Rojanaro and her band After Dark are highly versatile musicians with a wide range of styles including jazz, dance, swing, blues, rock ’n’ roll, R&B, Motown, oldies, country, special themes and novelty music. Rojanaro’s voice is described as embodying the nostalgic sound of a speakeasy torch singer from the 1930s and ’40s, but she also sings today’s hits with a fresh and jazzy flair. Visit Renee Rojanaro’s website at http://reneerojanaro.com for more information.

Most performances will last approximately two hours, concluding by 9 p.m. There will be concession stands, and concertgoers are welcome to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs and blankets.
