Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

As an educator, I know how important it is to keep children active and learning during the summer. And as your Mayor, I’m pleased to tell you that in Moreno Valley there are plenty of exciting activities available for children and families all summer long. You can even sign-up online at www.moval.org!

Our Parks & Community Services team hosts a variety summer day camps for school-age kids and teens featuring sports, arts and exciting academics, including video game design, robotics and more.

For the little ones, ages 3-5, we offer Time for Tots, where children learn colors, shapes, letters, and numbers, and take part in games, arts, music, water days and more, all in a fun and safe environment.

We also partner each summer with Moreno Valley Unified School District to offer swim lessons and open-swim times for both children and adults.

This summer, families are invited to enjoy these wonderful community events:

•  The new Avengers-themed “Avenge Yer Hunger” Food Truck Festival featuring a concert and screening of Avengers: Infinity War (Friday, July 26th at 6:30 p.m. behind the Conference & Recreation Center)

•  4th of July Parade (Thursday, July 4th at 9:30 a.m. on Frederick Street)

•  4th of July Family FunFest (Thursday, July 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Park)

•  MoVal Rocks & MoVal MoVies (Every Friday at 6:30 p.m. behind the Conference & Recreation Center)

Our City’s 40 beautiful parks – including the brand-new Skate Park at Community Park -- provide plenty of space for kids and families to relax and have fun all year round.

Learn more about all the wonderful activities available in Moreno Valley this summer by visiting Parks & Community Services on the City’s website at www.moval.org/pcs.

With so much for children and families to do in Moreno Valley, let’s make this the best summer ever!
