PacTrans Federal Credit Union at 444 South Waterman Avenue was welcomed with open arms to San Bernardino on Wednesday morning, April 15. The official ribbon cutting followed a few words from PacTrans CEO Anna Lo, San Bernardino’s Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Judi Penman, Council member Virginia Marquez and Mayor Pro Tem Rikke Van Johnson. “Thank you to the staff for putting this branch together. I appreciate all that you do,” Lo said. “This year is actually the 76th year anniversary of the Credit Union. I know, that's pretty good, right?” She joked as the crowd ooh'd and ahh'd. “We have 75 years of customer service under our belt and every year were trying to be something bigger and better,” said Lo. “Our job is to please our members and surely provide the best service and harvest that, let the community know we’re here.” As Councilmember Marquez took the microphone, bringing Mayor Pro Tem Johnson up with her, she said before presenting PacTrans Operations Manager Bayardo Ramirez and Lo with their certificate of recognition, “This is indeed a very special day for the city of San Bernardino and I want to thank PacTrans Federal Credit Union for selecting San Bernardino.” “On behalf of the city of San Bernardino I’d like to welcome you and send best wishes to PacTrans Federal Credit Union,” Marquez added. “I’m especially pleased to have a business open in San Bernardino,” said Penman, presenting Ramirez and Lo with a plaque of recognition from the Chamber. PacTrans Operations Manager Laura Dooley added, “We’re really excited to have everyone here...we’re excited to be in San Bernardino and a part of this community.”
