Grand Opening for Children's Assessment Center

Children’s Fund President’s Circle hosted a grand opening for the Children’s Assessment Center of San Bernardino County recently at the new location of the Center: 700 E. Gilbert Street in San Bernardino. The Children’s Assessment Center treats children ages 0-18 from every area of San Bernardino County who are suspected victims of abuse. Nearly half of the children seen at the Assessment Center are under the age of 5, signaling that a significant portion of the population served by this Center are very young and often cannot speak for themselves. Last year, the Center treated more than 1,300 children from our own communities. Private tours of the new Center were provided so that individuals could visit the medical exam rooms, interview and observation rooms, children's kitchen and playroom, therapy rooms and the garden area. At the event, a list of speakers and guests were able to attend the grand opening of the Center.
