Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society Floral Design Group will hold their Fall Floral Design Workshop at the Church of the Nazarene - Room 14, 1307 E. Citrus Ave., Redlands, Saturday Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is free and adults and youth are invited to attend. Susan Spears, floral designer and presenter from “Above the Stem”, a local Redlands florist will share her expertise. Spears was one of the florists who provided a beautiful floral design for a lucky gardens owner featured on RHIS 2014 Garden Tour. RHIS will furnish cut flowers, containers, and floral foam. Attendees are encouraged to bring flowers from their own gardens to share with the group. Appropriate plants would be Camellias, Oriental Lilies, Roses, Dahlias, Dusty Miller, Flowering Kale, and Sage. The theme for this workshop is “Autumn, Harvest, and our Local Bloom Cycle”. Since the workshop is just six days before Halloween, feel free to come in costume and make it festive. Info: RedlandsGardenClub.com
