The 7th annual Spring Garden Festival and Flower Show will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Lawrence Hutton Community Center, 660 Colton Ave, Colton from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free and the event will go on “rain or shine”. The theme of the festival, “Home Town Memories”, honors the history of Colton and the surrounding area. You may wish to visit the Colton Historical museum after the show.

The emphasis of the festival is educational, especially in the area of growing plants, enhancing your living area, and the possibilities available to you for water conservation by landscaping with succulents and cactus. If you have limited space there will be a presentation on creating your own light weight Hypertufa planting containers, and one on growing Begonias outside.

The flower show is also educational by giving you a chance to see what you might want to grow. There will be both floral designs and horticulture exhibits. Persons will be available to answer any questions you might have. This year photography is being featured for the first time.

Plant vendors will have cactus, succulents, orchids, and other interesting plants for sale. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase gifts.
