Mayor's Weekly Message 46

By Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez

As we enter the holiday season, we have so many wonderful things to look forward to in the coming months.

This is a time of celebration and an opportunity to spend time with loved ones.

In between the turkey and the pumpkin pie, there is time for reflection.

We as a City have accomplished so much.

We put more police officers and firefighters on our streets, we are spending millions of dollars improving our streets, and we gave our Senior Center a beautiful facelift.

We’ve added 17,000 new jobs in the last five years, and we continue to attract Fortune 500 and international companies though innovative incentive programs.

We broke ground on the Civic Center Amphitheater and Park, which will be the region’s premier outdoor venue, and we are building a state-of-the-art skate park to give our young people another option to get outside.

And we’re engaging our City’s residents more than ever before.

I’m thankful for our City – and the residents who make Moreno Valley a vibrant, progressive City.

Please have a happy – and safe – Thanksgiving.
